Hi, I'm Penny — a NASM-certified personal trainer in Wake Forest, NC, helping women transform their bodies through strength training, supported by real science, real food, and a real understanding of women's exercise and nutrition needs.

I started gaining weight at 8 years old. From that point forward, I lived in a constant cycle of losing and gaining - Weight Watchers, South Beach, Atkins, juice fasts, Trim Healthy Mama - every single one. The weight would come off. Then it would come right back.

I was bullied as a child. Rejected as a teenager. Hurt as a young woman. The pain of those words and experiences is something I’ll never forget — and probably something you understand more than you'd like to.

Then, in February 2023, something shifted.

I decided I was going to try one more time — but differently. I changed my diet (protein became my new best friend). I started strength training three times a week. I worked with my doctor on GLPs, HRT, and supportive supplements. And slowly, methodically, the weight came off.

Three years later, I'm 70 pounds lighter, stronger than I've ever been, and a completely different woman than the one who started.

And here's what I want you to know: it wasn't willpower. It wasn't suffering. It was strength training, real food, the right tools, and the right mindset. Now I get to teach other women exactly that.

Why I Became A Personal Trainer - The ripple effect

Throughout my journey, strength training was the key that unlocked so much for me. It reshaped my body. It rebuilt my confidence. It gave me the energy and passion I'd been missing for years.

I became so passionate about it that I became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). What started as my own strength journey became a calling — to help other women feel safe, supported, and powerful in theirs.

Choosing a name for this business wasn't easy. But after being told so many times that my story was inspiring, I knew Inspire Fitness Training was the perfect fit.

My journey through weight struggles and finding strength in vulnerability resonates with so many women. My deep-rooted purpose is to inspire and uplift every woman I get to work with — and that's exactly what this business is built to do.
